In an difficult property market Landlords can rarely leave their properties out of date and tired. We were asked to refurbish this kitchen with minimal spend. The walls are all white tiled so we used a graphite gloss range with slimline polished chrome handles. The flooring is a nice grey wood effect and we only had to change the taps. Sussex is blessed with Character properties ranging from quaint little cottages to stately homes all with a rich history of their own. Each property will have its own characteristics and each will have its own identity with no two properties alike. We wouldn't want it any other way but it adds an extra challenge when we are looking to refurbish these properties.

The main thing is to keep the buildings own identity, it has been around for hundreds of years and will be around hopefully long after we shuffle off, so we have to be sympathetic but we still want a stunning kitchen.

As a designer I would try to incorporate as many of the original features into the design as possible and work with the owner to create a stunning kitchen that not only works for the owners but works for the property too.
